Langskib Basecamp

Canoe Basecamp at Langskib Summer Camp

Langskib's canoe base camp is located on the cliff side of a rugged island approximately twenty miles by float plane from the village of Temagami in northern Ontario, Canada. Cabins are rustic and nestled among the towering pine and cedar trees. The camp dining hall, with it's stone fire place and spectacular view of Sharprock Inlet and Maple Mountain, provides a perfect backdrop for boys to share meals and a picturesque view of the Temagami region. The traditional Long House, situated in a central location is the ideal meeting place for small groups and the camp community as a whole.

A circular trail around the island leads to our team building course and provides a wonderful opportunity for summer camp participants to play, learn and explore their natural surroundings.

In base camp, each boy shares a cabin with several friends, enjoys home-cooked meals and experiences a warm, family camp atmosphere—both before heading out on the trail and again when their canoe trip returns.
